The Texas Mid Coast Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors was organized in 1982 as a chapter in formation. The Charter was officially granted in 1987. It was incorporated in the State of Texas as a non-profit corporation under Section 501(c) 6 of the Internal Revenue Code.
As a membership based organization, the Mission of the Texas Mid Coast Chapter is to protect and enhance the free enterprise system in the construction industry by promoting and training a safe, skilled workforce and to promote member participation and involvement, by providing quality services, programs and ways to market members of the association through community involvement.
With 115 members as of January 2016, the ABC Texas Mid Coast Chapter is a very active pro-member, pro-industry organization. The Chapter offers multiple member services, including a full-service Plans Room, copying services, craft training and education programs, safety classes and member Affinity (discount) programs through member partnerships….and many member networking programs and events.
The ABC Texas Mid Coast Chapter joins fellow Chapters across the nation to promote and support our open shop “way of work” and the legislative processes that promote our free enterprise philosophy. We are very involved in community development and industry training and encourage partnerships to promote the advancement of the construction industry and the important role that it plays as a foundation for community growth.
